Mozambique's estimated postharvest losses for millet in 2021 was 3,818 tonnes or 10.9%.
In the value chain, the majority of the loss is estimated to be happening at Harvesting/field drying, Transport from field, and then Winnowing. Highest estimated postharvest maize losses in tonnes were estimated to occur in Tete.
