Togo, Millet, 2015

Togo's estimated postharvest losses for millet in 2015 was 4,461 tonnes or 11.2%.

As for nutrition 16 billion kcal were lost, which is the equivalent of more than 19 thousand people, in terms of annual nutritional dietary energy requirements. In the value chain, the majority of the loss is estimated to be happening at Harvesting/field drying, Winnowing, and then Transport from field. Highest estimated postharvest maize losses in tonnes were estimated to occur in Savanes.
